About Us

Our mission is to provide access to safe drinking water for victims of natural disasters and developing communities.

Our History

Our founder, Steven Blad, was a successful international businessman in the electronics and technologies industries. As his career took him to various parts of the world, he was exposed to the lack of access to safe water and sanitation, as well as increasingly critical water security needs. Steven felt that he could make a difference in the disaster water treatment field. Using his personal resources and the engineering and manufacturing capacity within his company, he began the development and testing of WaterBox in 2014, with disaster relief in mind.

Over the years, the WaterBox technical design has evolved into a high-quality, portable, and adaptable water filtration and disinfectant system. Beyond emergency response, its robust design and ease of use have made it an effective solution for disaster stricken and developing communities around the world that lack consistent access to clean water. The goal of using this device is to improve public health, support sustainable development, and combat a lack of clean water in the event of a natural disaster.

WaterBox has been engineered as a chemical free disinfection system that provides multiple layers of bactericidal filtration to produce clean water. This system uses a multi-stage filtration process that includes Ozonation and UV disinfection. Its patented design is made to withstand hostile natural environments. Its sealed, small format design inhibits tampering and water damage. Additionally, by combining filtration and disinfection, WaterBox is designed to remove organic and inorganic material, and destroy live pathogens.

WaterBox makes it possible to access high volumes of clean water anytime, anywhere. Waterbox’s efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability proves that it is an ideal solution for water contamination.
